In response to the shooting that took place on campus on Wednesday, September 2, 2009, student counseling services will be available on the Skyline College campus until 4:00pm today, Friday September 4th (as of 12:30pm in the Student & Community Center, Building 6) which has been relocated to the Student Services Center, Building 2, as of 2:00pm today. Skyline College will be receiving additional help with counseling services from the Jefferson Unified school district as well as from some sister colleges in the San Mateo County. Visitation hours have been expanded to accommodate students with a desire to take advantage of counseling services, (available in the Student Services Center in Building 2 and in the Student & Community Center in Building 6) on Tuesday, September 8th and Wednesday September 9th from 8:00am-7:00pm. Regular visitation hours will be maintained on Mondays and Thursdays from 8:00am-4:30pm and Fridays from 8:00am-12:00pm. Students who prefer to receive individual counseling services can make an appointment with a counselor by calling 4318, or by visiting the One Stop Student Information Center in Building 2 on the 2nd floor. Students who wish to schedule a more specific time slot or wish to have counseling services held via telephone can do so by calling them directly at (650) 738-4465.
