He’s no stranger around our campus, having written nine books, EOP&S counselor, and teaches Counseling 100. Pablo Gonzalez continues to inspire, motivate, and uplift Skyline College staff as well as students who look up to the counselor for strong aspiration and positive advice.
Students as well as staff flock to Skyline College’s Main Theater Lobby for the latest book release, Josef and the Secret Scrolls, of author, publisher and motivational speaker, Gonzalez.
Presented by the Hermanos Club, Leader Sthiv Valencia opened up with a welcome of invitation and dedication of the new book, “Josef and the Secret Scrolls”. Secondly, a younger son of Gonzalez who attends Skyline College also welcomed and spoke of his father’s greatness in his life and how he honors him for his new book.
When asked what motivated or inspired him to write the book, Gonzalez responded, “It just happened. I never thought of writing the book. One day I was in total silence when I started writing about ‘Josef and the Secret Scrolls’ and there it was.” A little bit of Josef is in all of us, Gonzalez said. My best ideas come from his dreams. “It’s not me who comes up with the ideas,” Gonzalez said.
” ‘Josef and the Secret Scrolls’ is a tale of personal courage and spiritual transformation that offers magical insight into the unexplainable wisdom of the invisible forces in the universe and the limitless power of the human spirit”, as the book’s introduction says.
“Josef and the Secret Scrolls” is a book for all individuals who recognize the twists and turns that life can bring. It teaches from a perspective of dramatic events which turns into a tragic story of lost hope that entails the mystery of how one’s man tragedy becomes a triumph for his life.
The book not only inspires but uplifts the soul that yearns for direction, instruction, peace and freedom in which no man on earth can give. An old tale says, “Wisdom is found in the eyes of the beholder,” which I believe is a personal truth.
I personally have had my share of tragedy where it not only questioned my faith but left me senseless to the fact where I could no longer function mentally and physically. I had to learn how to process things all over again, which took me years to do, but I’m still experiencing the transformation.
My outcome so far has opened my eyes to a life I never could imagine. Just like the story “Josef and the Secret Scrolls,” through all the trials and tribulations Josef experienced, towards the end of his journey he finds himself mentally liberated with a spiritual soul that longs to see life once again.
Life is just a bunch of good and bad experiences that we all encounter at some point in our lives. We are all stories to be told for someone else’s life. And if you’re story isn’t told it becomes a lost point of no return.
Copies of his latest book “Josef and the Secret Scrolls” will be on sale at the Skyline College bookstore soon.
