You don’t have to be Irish to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, but it’s nice to indulge in the occasional pint of Guinness. To me, St. Patrick’s day is just about being with friends and having fun wherever we may be, but most likely at the pub. Above all, don’t forget to wear a shade of green.

Thumbs up: Skyline Cafe Salad Bar

For only a few dollars, hungry students can reach out to Skyline’s redesigned cafeteria and build a dream salad in-between class. The selection of dressings, greens, vegetables and meat is outstanding. Grilled chicken, ham, salami, and even chunks of imitation crab can satisfy your craving for meat, even amongst all the greens. Pair it up with a healthy drink and you’re set with a heart friendly, fulfilling and inexpensive meal.

Thumbs Down: Adam Lambert’s “The Ring of Fire”

Adam Lambert’s rendition of “The Ring of Fire” on American Idol was awful. He has a good singing voice, and I was supportive of him up until this performance. “The Ring of Fire” by Johnny Cash is one of my all-time favorite songs, it’s a classic. You just don’t change up a song of that caliber, and for that I have lost all respect for him.
