1. Ocarina of Time (N64)The story and writing are incredible, the characters are unforgettable, the game-play is ingenious, and the music is awesome. This is the one game that I am not afraid to say is perfect in every way. (See my full review of the game online in the entertainment section.)2. Resident Evil (gamecube)Quite simply, this game is the epitome of the genre survival horror. The focus is not on action, but just on staying alive. There are so many moments in this game that will make you jump straight out of your chair. It also has serious replay value because of the different paths you can take. 3. Super Mario 64 (N64/DS)”It’s me, Mario”. One word: level design. The different worlds that you visit are so joyful and fun that you can’t help but smile, such as Wet-Dry World and Tiny-Huge Island. In addition, jumping into paintings to enter worlds is very clever.4. Metroid Prime (gamecube)The enemy, level and weapon variety is incredible. You are constantly encountering different enemies, and you visit everything from snow-covered tundra to a magma filled core. The planet has so many secrets you’ll never get bored. The combat system is also very simple and smooth.5. Chrono Trigger (SNES/DS)The concept of traveling through the different eras of time to change the course of the world is so addicting. The combat system may be this game’s best feature, however, as there are countless combinations of attacks you can learn. Except for the bosses, the battles can go very fast. These two things make the combat in this game the best out of any other game.
