Scoring two touchdowns on the AFC champions in the first quarter was one thing – keeping the lead for three more was another. After quick drives by the 49ers out of the gate, Mike Nolan and company could simply not keep the momentum. Three turnovers and an inability to convert on third down kept the 49ers off the board, and off the field. Facing a Brady-less team was the best possible situation for the red and gold, who now must host an even tougher challenge in the Eagles. On the other side of the bay, the Oakland Raiders shook up their organization by finally releasing head coach Lane Kiffin. The year-long drama finally came to conclusion, as Al Davis voiced his harshest criticisms via press conference. Former Raider turned Dancing Star Warren Sapp also had something to say, claiming that the Raider Nation has a fully functional organization if it were not for Davis constantly overlooking operations. With a BYE week providing an opportunity to regroup a torn franchise, the Raiders head over to New Orleans next Sunday.
