It has been a long time.
I hope spring break did all the wonderful students of Skyline College well.
I am in complete disarray yet perfectly contented. The major league baseball season is off and swinging and my Angels are doing great. I will go so far as to say that this looks like our year.
However, I am sorry for you Giant fans because the mighty Giants are enormously terrible and last place seems a good place for them.
I look forward to that trend continuing.
On our own campus, the Trojans, are playing very well, and are holding tight at second in the division behind our sister’s at CSM by the way, we are 1-1 against them this year with the last game against them coming April 27 at home. The game should be a good one so check it out if you can.
Also the women’s badminton team is starting to pick it up after losing the first two matches of the season. They won their first game against Mission College, and I say that is great for them. Up next are those lovable Rams from City College but that game will be over and done with before this paper hits the stands, so I’m sending out a mental good luck to our lovely badminton team.
Before I forget, we now have a women’s basketball head coach. The lucky winner is Trisha Hosley. She was an assistant for Britney Lindhe; the previous head coach in case you have already forgotten, and I am going way out on a limb by saying I have visions of division titles in three years, but it is too bad I won’t be here to see it. Again, I am going to send out all the limited power of my good thoughts for the success of the program.
I guess that is an overview of what has happened since we had left for that oasis of water in the fog called spring break, but what else?
I have no tales of drunken escapades on ugly, overcrowded beaches with water-downed margaritas which cost twenty dollars an ounce. As I just sat on the couch and envisioned waves crashing against the white walls of my apartment which is to say I just worked and did what I normally do. What can I say, mommy took her credit card back a long time ago, and I am not paying to play for anything or anyone.
I hope you enjoyed your break, now back to your regularly scheduled Skyline programming.
