Outfielder Jimmy Parque led the Trojans with two hits and succeeded in scored two runs, and outfielder Danny McCarthy had two RBIs.
“They didn’t beat us. We beat ourselves,” Nomicos said.
Skyline’s batters 4-9 went with a combined 3-21 scoring one run, compared to Cañada’s 4-9 batters going a combined 7-26 with two RBIs, scoring three runs.
“We didn’t swing the bat well at all, the guys were a little tight today,” Nomicos said.
The Trojans record is now 10-6, and 0-1 in conference. Cañada moves to 10-7, and 1-0 in conference.
“The difference was an inability to do what we were taught, that’s it,” Nomicos said.
