During the weekend of Nov. 4 and 5, the Student Senate for California Community Colleges (SSCCC) was held in Millbrae.
The SSCCC is where college student governments of California gather to attend workshops and discussions on how they can improve their student government. At least 100 schools attended the Senate, according to Skyline Senate member and Senate attendee Jonathan Vasquez, through an email interview.
The Senate is a way for schools to come together, share ideas, and make improvements on their own campuses.
“The improvements that the ASSC will see are vital in the way we coordinate our events and meetings,” said Vasquez.
Topics such as shared governance and resolution writing were discussed to help the students learn to become better leaders for their individual campus.
