On Monday March 24, 2006 the Stewardship for Equity, Equal Employment and Diversity (SEEED) Advisory Committee held a meeting to discuss hosting a diversity day event sometime in the fall.
They tentatively planned to hold it either September 27 and 28 or October 4 and 5, depending on the weather.
The event will focus on diversity issues, hoping to use educational workshops and a variety of entertainment to facilitate the event. The prospects of bringing the issues into the classrooms were also presented at the meeting.
Other forms of entertainment include vendors, maybe an art/film series, and perhaps even keynote speakers.
The committee hopes to be able to archive the event, and maybe display it in the Student Union building once construction is finished.
