We can all remember those days spent in gyms and cafeterias dancing with some one who had sweaty palms and didn’t ever really know how to dance. But we still did it anyway because even if we couldn’t dance we still thought we looked cool doing it. We may have grown out of the days of freak dancing and slow dances three feet apart, but you can’t deny that those memories come flooding back with a smile on your face when ever “I’ll Make Love To You”, comes on the Sunday night oldies jam. Also you can’t help but laugh as you listen to Boys II Men these days, because you all know when you where 10 or 12 you had no real idea what they where singing about, they where just good looking guys with awesome voices and sound romantic.
One of my favorite songs by them would have to be there cover of “In the Still of the Night”. They really do the song justice because as campy as they where they could really rock the four part harmonies. Also “End Of the Road”, is another really good song and it was a staple as a closing song for dances and graduation for years after it was released.
So if you’re in the mood for a flash back to the days of Jazzy Jeff hair cuts and cheesy baggy button up shirts. Then turn off the lights and blow out the candles and put on some Boys II Men and hold your honey…just make sure your three feet apart other wise you’re not really dancing to Boys II Men.
