Skyline has hosted film festivals in the past in conjunction with the Museum of Tolerance and the Presidents Innovation Fund. The film festivals held in the spring are designed to teach students, faculty and teachers more about tolerance in their everyday lives.
This year’s theme for the festival is Reconcilable Differences and will be featuring two films from local film makers. The first film “Tangled Roots” previews Feb. 6 at 12 p.m. in the Main Theatre. The story consists of the filmmaker Heidi Schmidt Emberling confronting her Jewish American mother and her German father after discovering her grandfather’s involvement in the Nazi Party during World War II.
