“Athlete of the year,” Said Blaize Davis, teammate of Alecxis Lara on Skyline’s wrestling team. “I’ve seen this guy wrestle guys that destroy me and he just destroys them.”
Alecxis Lara has been wrestling for about 10 years and is a returning wrestler from last year’s team. Lara is currently ranked 2nd in the state, of 24 schools, for Community Colleges of California.
“We’re hungry,” Lara said of the wrestling team. Lara said he will qualify for state finals this year.
