Jihan Abdel-Gawad Was a center Midfielder on the women’s soccer team at Skyline before a tragic accident ended her life on Sun. Oct. 16. Not only will Abdel-Gawad be remembered for turning her life around and remaining positive, she will be remembered as a great athlete. Abdel-Gawad played soccer when she was young, stopped playing during high school but went back to soccer when she came to Skyline College. “She was looked on the be a leader,” Coach Kevin Corsiglia said. “She led by example.” Abdel-Gawad willbe missed on and off the soccer field.
