Summer is ending and the new semester is starting. New and old, students attend Skyline College with different goals in mind; and we at The Skyline View are gearing up with quite a few things in mind. We hope to accurately address the events and issues at Skyline College with our new staff. It will take time to get back up to speed, but we will not disappoint.

We are currently using a new format of organization for our staff due to changes in the Journalism program in the California Community Colleges, as students are unable to repeat courses with satisfactory grades. It is now easier for students who are unsure as to whether or not they want to fully commit to being part of the newspaper staff. They can do this by taking Journalism 320, which means you are not an editor and will be able to write at your own pace, while still working to achieve the requirements of the class, allowing you to dip your feet in the field. If you have ever taken journalism 300 before, and you would like to try out an editorial position journalism 330 is the class to take . So it goes without saying that The Skyline View is always looking for new staff members to join our loving crew.

Our new issue will be distributed next Thursday 8/28/2013 with online content frequently posted on our website www.TheSkylineview.com

*the date for the next issue of the paper has been corrected from the 8/2/2013 to 8/28/2013. Date of change 8/21/2013.
