Between work and school schedules it can be difficult to get breakfast, lunch or dinner at home and so most of the time eating comes from restaurants. With there being as many restaurants as there are in the bay area it can be difficult on which place to choose.

The Food Network channel always has some of the best recipes for fast and easy food to make; but work, school and homework usually get in the way of eating healthier and better. Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives host, Guy Fieri travels to some of the biggest cities in the country and has the opportunity to try some amazing food. Many of the restaurants that he visits are local business owners that have been around for a long time.

The city is full of all different kinds of restaurants. The app Yelp! can only help get you so far with choices and most of those are what are close to you and you don’t know if they have been featured on the Food Network Channel. Food Network now has an app called the Food Network RoadTrip.

When first opening the app scroll from left to right, it gives different top categories of the app. It shows the top six cities with a restaurant city guide which shows the top six restaurants from that city and different road trip options from different types of food. The road trip options are from the different shows on the network and the different types of food such as, breakfast, pie and the best sandwiches in all 50 states.

For the city of San Francisco, the top six restaurants that the Features Page shows is Anchor & Hope, Aziza, Ike’s Place, Joe’s Cable Car, Tadich Grill, and Gialina Pizzeria and on the photos of the restaurants it has a little sticker to show what show those restaurants were on.

Then when clicking on that restaurant it gives a little description of the restaurant and then you can favorite the restaurant, add it to a road trip or even recommend the restaurant.

Adding restaurants to the favorites folder or the road trip folder will keep the restaurants to visit in an organized manner. Setting up a road trip folder can be helpful because then the restaurants from the different states can be in that folder and then the restaurants that are nearby can be located in the favorites folder. This way the restaurants to visit outside of California can be labeled by each state to better organize and not become cluttered since there are a lot of restaurants to choose from.

At the top there is a “nearby” button. This feature of the app makes it easy to see what places from the shows are the closest. It shows where the closest restaurant is, what show it is from and what type of food it is. After clicking on one of the restaurants it will give a description of which Food Network star visited that restaurant, the phone number, website, photos, the address and directions.

For any food lovers or people who want to visit and try new places this app is perfect to get. There are so many places to visit that have been featured on different Food Network shows that sound delicious.
