App of the Week: iTunes Live
Music is powerful. It can bring out so emotions and has a way of saying exactly what you are feeling without you ever having to speak. Or if you are like me you just want to sing “Call Me Maybe” out to people while at a red light. Yes, I admit it I love singing this song out to people; the moment you start and they smile…well you know you’ve done your job of singing it terribly.
Everybody has a different taste in music. There are so many varieties and so many different musical groups out there that everybody is guaranteed to find something that will speak to them. For me music definitely has a way to put me in a certain type of mood or change it.
For the month of September ITunes was having a free music concert (which you can still download). Even though the festival is over you can still watch the concerts or even download the live audio recordings from iTunes. You download the iTunes Live App and are immediately guaranteed access to watch 30 days of free concerts.
Every day there were two different concerts from two different artists and you get to choose which one you would like to see. If you don’t choose the other one you are still able to watch that one after the first one. You aren’t limited to one per day.
Some of the artist that were part of the iTunes Festival were Usher, Miguel, One Direction, P!nk, David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Ellie Goulding, Mumford and Sons, and many, many more.
The concerts aren’t short either, which is really awesome. I watched the Mumford and Sons concerts which was about an hour and a half. They sound so incredible live. Watching this concert made me want to jump on a plane to go wherever they have a show to go and watch them play. The nice thing too about them is that they don’t sound different live.
I really love that iTunes made this app so you got to see the festival for free and see all different types of artists. I think it catered to a lot of different people with different preferences of music and artists.
