Half Moon bay gets ready to celebrate the orangest month of the year and as the summer thaws away the community prepares to host the 44th annual Half Moon Bay Art and Pumpkin Festival on Oct. 18-19, held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. During the two day event taking place on Main street (between Miramontes st and Spruce st.) will only be accessible by foot.

Along with enjoying the many booths of coast side artisanal crafts including clothes, glassblowers, and jewelers, there is also the world championship pumpkin weigh-off, pumpkin pie eating contest and pumpkin imbued goodies at every turn. There are also several novelties this year including the 28 ft. high zipline. Unfortunately, there is limited free parking so arriving before midday is advisable.
