Whats On
American Horror Story: Asylum (Wednesdays 10 pm, FX)
The controversial show returns for another season of horror. This season has a brand new cast
and setting. Jessica Lange returns as the show’s star, playing the role of Sister Jude. The new
cast includes Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, James Cromwell, and
Chloe Sevigny. The new season should be very entertaining, but will not be for the weak of heart.
The Walking Dead (Sundays 9pm, AMC)
The critically-acclaimed show returned with a vengeance this past Sunday. This season picks up with Rick and the group scavenging for items to survive. They discover a presumed empty prison and plan to turn it into their new home. Once inside, they discover they are not the only humans occupying the prison. This has been one of the most-anticipated seasons due to the comic book connection with the introduction of The Governor.
Sons of Anarchy (Tuesdays 10pm, FX)
The motorcycle club drama is in its fifth season, and it hasn’t lost a step yet. This season focuses
on Jax’s new role as club leader and all the troubles that come along with it. Most shows lose steam once the seasons go on, but luckily this one hasn’t. The various storylines in each episode along with great writing and acting make this show a television favorite.
NOVA: Forensics on Trial (Wednesday 10/17, 9pm, PBS)
For all you CSI fans, now you can see how it relates to people going to prison. NOVA, PBS’ long running documentary series covers forensic analysis. This episode also discusses how hair, ballistics, and other DNA can send even the innocent to prison. This would be a great episode to watch for those looking at a career in forensic science and for those who are just curious.
