Week 9 is over and it is officially the halfway point to the end of the season. Already there have been so many memorable storylines. The two this week that are the most talked about; the Falcons are still undefeated and Doug Martin who had the game of his life for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Doug Martin is a rookie out of the Bay Area. He sent the fantasy world ablaze with his impressive 251 rush yds. and 4 TDs against the Oakland Raiders. Their defense was just unable to stop him that day. The breakout day he had was even a hot topic on Twitter. Many journalists and fans of the game were busy tweeting away about his game that he instantly became a trending topic on Twitter, where he remained a hot topic for the rest of the day.
The Falcons improved to 9-0 this season behind star quarterback Matt Ryan. Ryan has been having a solid year. With a breakout year for the quarterback (2300+ yds. passing and 17 TDs according to Yahoo! Sports) he is easily making a name for himself as one of the elite quarterbacks out there. He is showing that he can lead his team to the Super Bowl and be one of the top contenders.
