Is this some sort of a bad episode of “The Twilight Zone”? Ladies and gentlemen, according to Maxim, Miley Cyrus is the hottest woman in the World.
Huh? What? Really? These words seemed to be the common reactions to Maxim’s decision. But seriously, really? Over the likes of Brooklyn Decker, Kate Beckinsale and Sofia Vergara?
Just check out some of the comments on the Yahoo! story
“Not a chance she’s even close to number 1. Wouldn’t even make a list,” wrote one reader.
“I literally just laughed out loud at this alleged decision…” wrote another.
Of course, you’re bound to read some unsavory comments bullying about her looks. But there is no need for that. There is no denying Cyrus’ look, women are beautiful creatures. However, I agree with one reader who wrote: “With all the women in the world, this is who they pick for number 1?” There are so many more women who can deemed the “hottest” in the world.
Take for example my wife, to whom I’m married to in my head Jennifer Lawrence, who came in as number five on Maxim’s list. Lawrence is frickin’ beautiful. I ultimately fell in love with her after watching her star in “The Hunger Games”. And don’t forget just how talented she is; Her Oscar for Best Actress rightfully proves that. Her personality is just as attractive as well. She is so down-to-Earth and doesn’t give off this aura, that most famous people do, of feeling supreme to others. But I’m just rambling off here; of course beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But then again, she was named “most desirable” by askmen.com over 98 other popularly beautiful women. Where was Cyrus placed in that pool? She didn’t even rank.
According to Maxim’s executive editor, Cyrus’ vote-in was a “landslide.” Huh? Whatever. Again, with age-old cliché, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
But I still can’t shake off the feeling that Maxim is trying to troll us. They did rank Manti Te’o’s fake girlfriend as #69.
