President Obama was re-elected on Tues. Nov. 6 and on Wed. Nov. 7, Donald Trump was using his social media to once again blast the President.
About a month ago, Trump decided to offer to the President that if he would show his college records and passport then he would donate $5 million to any charity that Obama chooses. Now the day after the election he is back at it.
According to Yahoo! News he started writing on his Twitter feed that “Let’s fight like hell and stop this great and disgusting injustice! The world is laughing at us.” He also tweeted “This election is a total sham and a travesty. We are not a democracy! Our nation is a once great nation divided! Our country is now in serious and unprecedented trouble…like never before. The Electoral College is a disaster for a democracy.”
When you openly hate on people, you open the door for more hatred. With Trump openly and freely posting his comments towards Obama, it sparks more people to do the same. There is a difference between voicing your opinion about the policies that someone has whether you disagree or agree with that person, and it is another to start voicing hatred towards someone.
We as a country are very fortunate in what we have and the rights we have been granted, but there is a right and wrong way to voice your opinion. Hatred spreads quickly and even faster through the use of social media. The fact is Obama is our president and we should be trying to support our president when our country desperately needs help. No matter who is president, they still deserve respect for leading our country.
The majority voted in Obama for a second term. Trump, this is a democracy because the majority felt that Obama was the better candidate. More people believed in what he can do for this country. If you don’t like the results of the election, I understand that, but go after the policies and try to make a change of those; don’t go attacking the president. If you want to see a change maybe you should look in the mirror and change what you are doing.
Attacking people through social media will not get you anywhere. Spreading hatred for someone is just a coward way of not being able to actually make a change. If you don’t like the policies that Obama or any other elected official has put in, then be productive and try to get them changed.
Attacking a person is not going to change the policies that official has put into place. Disagreeing with the policies and wanted to work together to make a difference is where you will get your answer. So rather than just voicing your opinion all over social media, why don’t you do something about it?
People are going to have different opinions than you; this is why we are all individuals and what makes us unique. Living in a social media world, where anything and everything you post will be seen by many can be tricky waters for a person to fall into.
Then later after this blew up over the internet over his controversial tweets he then removed them and according to his Twitter feed he changed it to say “Another four years–not good for the country but we’ll have to live with it!”
