Former Skyline student passes away on campus

Skyline College is mourning the death of one of their former students

Skyline College has announced that a former student passed away on the school’s campus Monday evening.

“It is with a heavy heart that I share the death of a former student on campus last night and our deepest condolences go out to the family and friends,” Skyline President Dr. Melissa Moreno announced in an email to the community on Tuesday afternoon.

Moreno added that no criminal activity was found surrounding the incident.

The situation is currently under active investigation by the San Mateo County Coroner and there is no further information at this time.

Skyline College is available for grief support and other wellness resources. Personal counseling is available Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
