The driver of a Pepsi truck was unable to keep his runaway vehicle from crashing into a Skyline parking lot at 8:20 a.m. the morning of Jan 29.

According to the driver “truck was stuck on some rubber in the driveway [outside building six] and was having trouble with [the] brakes.” This caused the truck to roll down the loading ramp at a fairly good speed.

The driver initially attempted to grab hold of the truck but failed to stop the truck from colliding with a pole in parking lot K, outside of building 2. The driver, who has been a driver for for Pepsi for several years, said that this was the first accident of his career.

Public Safety Officers quickly made it to the scene and determined that there had been no injuries or damage done to any of the vehicles in the parking lot. The truck was later towed off the campus.
