Skyline College provided the 1st Annual hAPI Fest on Wednesday, April 17, 2013. Hapa is Hawaiian slang that describes someone who has some roots in Asian or Pacific Islander ancestry. To celebrate Asian-Pacific Islander culture the Center for Student Life and Leadership Development created the first annual hAPI Fest. The title is a combination of Hapa and A.P.I which stands for Asian Pacific Islander. Student had a chance to enjoy everything from live cultural performances, temporary tattoos, an outdoor rock climbing experience, and even the Senor Sisig food truck.
